FAQs
Artificial turf questions, answered
Everything Central Florida homeowners ask before going with synthetic grass. Still curious? Call us at any time.
How long does artificial turf last?
Quality turf lasts 15 to 20 years with normal use and basic maintenance. The systems we install use UV-stabilized fibers that hold their color and resilience through Florida sun and heat.
Is artificial turf safe for kids and pets?
Yes. The turf we install is lead-free and nontoxic, and our pet products use antimicrobial fibers and enhanced drainage so urine rinses through and odors do not build up. The surface stays soft underfoot and is gentle for play.
How much does turf cost in Central Florida?
Most projects land between $5 and $20 per square foot installed. The range depends on the product quality, how much site prep and drainage work the area needs, square footage, and access. We give you a free written quote within 24 hours so you know the number up front.
Does turf get hot in the Florida sun?
Turf does warm up in direct sun like any surface. We offer heat-reflective products that run cooler, and a quick rinse with the hose brings the temperature right down on the hottest afternoons. Shade from trees or structures helps too.
How does artificial turf handle drainage and heavy rain?
Our turf is built on a permeable base with a perforated backing, so water passes straight through instead of pooling. That is a big reason homeowners with soggy, low-lying yards switch to turf. It clears fast after Central Florida summer storms.
How long does installation take?
Most residential yards are finished in one to three days depending on size and prep. We give you a clear timeline with your quote, and our crews focus on getting the base right so the finished lawn lays flat and lasts.
Does the turf come with a warranty?
Yes. Quality turf carries a manufacturer warranty covering fading and wear, typically backed for many years, and we stand behind our installation workmanship. We will walk you through the specific coverage for the product you choose.
What maintenance does artificial turf need?
Very little. Rinse it occasionally, brush high-traffic areas to keep the blades upright, and pick up debris. There is no mowing, watering, fertilizing, or weeding, which is the whole point.
Does artificial grass actually look real?
Modern turf has come a long way. We use multi-tone fibers with a natural blade shape and a thatch layer, so it reads as a healthy, freshly cut lawn rather than a flat green carpet. Most visitors cannot tell until they touch it.
Will my HOA approve artificial turf?
Many Central Florida HOAs allow turf, and Florida law increasingly protects water-conserving landscaping. Approvals usually come down to product quality and a clean installation. We are happy to provide product specs to help you submit for approval.
